  • Natural Hair Conditioner

This conditioner is loaded full of all the nutrients your hair needs to grow and look beautiful plus it’s really easy to make. Ingredients: Greek Yoghurt (Plain) 2 tbsp Manuka Honey 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tsp Rosemary Oil 1 tsp Sweet Almond Oil 2 tbsp Here are some of the benefits of using this recipe and why to use the ingredients listed: . Manuka Honey from Australia is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It also contains antifungal and antibacterial properties which makes it great for the scalp as well as being a natural humectant which means honey actually helps retain moisture in the hair. Studies have also shown that honey fights dandruff and it also helps with hair loss. . Greek Yogurt is one of the most amazing foods to use as hair conditioner. Yoghurt can take dry, dull, frizzy lifeless hair and actually bring it back to life. Yoghurt contains Lactic acid which has intense hydrating properties it also contains Zinc which helps build cells and helps with nutrient absorption and it also regulates hormones. Yogurt also contains vitamin B5 which helps with blood circulation and hair growth and another benefit of yoghurt is it contains calcium and calcium stimulates new hair cells. So as you can see many benefits from using yoghurt in your hair care routine. . Apple Cider Vinegar helps bring the Ph levels down in your hair and many people have dry, dull, frizzy hair and that's because the alkaline levels are too high. . Sweet Almond Oil is a carrier oil. It works wonderfully as an emollient, you could use coconut oil or olive oil. I just chose this one because it’s very light. The other oils tend to be too heavy and if you have a fine texture of hair it will weigh the hair down. . Rosemary OIl is excellent as it stimulates hair development and also thickens your hair. How to make: Add all ingredients into a glass bowl or similar, mix together and remove all lumps. Once mixed you should be left with a liquid lotion consistency if you find this a little too runny for you, you can add more yoghurt for thickness. Then pour your mixture into a bottle with a top you can easily open. Store in a cool place and keep for 1 week. Thank you for reading! xxx Druidic Soul xxx

  • Destiny Sails

"I have studied many times the marble that was chiseled for me -- A boat with a furled sail at rest in a harbor. In truth it pictures not my destination, but my life. For love was offered me and I shrank from it's disillusionment; Sorrow knocked at my door, but I was afraid. Ambition called to me, but I dreaded the chances. Yet all the while, I hungered for meaning in my life And now I know that we must lift the sail and catch the winds of destiny Wherever they drive the boat. To put meaning in one's life may end in madness, But life without meaning is the torture Of restlessness and vague desire -- It is a boat longing for the sea and yet afraid."

  • What Are Chakras?

Chakras are the interface between our hardworking physical body and the energy around us. In electrical terms they act like a transformer between the two. Imagine a laptop charger, it can't be plugged straight into the mains, it needs a transformer to convert the current energy into a form it can use. Our incredible bodies are not just clever machines, we also get the chance to fall in love, to laugh, to cry, to think, invent and explore. To communicate with each other , dream and create and even pondre on the nature of our reality, our soul and the divine. This remarkable energy that makes all these things happen is called the life force , qi or prana. If DNA is the physical blueprint then you could say that prana is the energetic blueprint that underpins and organises it all. It is there in every cell of our body, and it extends to the outside of our body, too, creating an energy field or aura around us. You can think of prana as a life force energy that runs through us like electricity. And the chakras are the transformers that convey our solid physical laptop - selves with the energy of non solid layers. You can also think of chakras as like windows or portals between your physical body and your energy body. All the chakras are connected together vertically to nourish and support each other. When they are working well windows do an essential job of letting in light and fresh air flow. If you closed the windows permanently , blocking the light and the air flow your rooms would feel sick and heavy. But on the other hand if you let them open permanently your rooms would feel unprotected and uncomfortable especially during the stormy scary times. Healthy chakras are like healthy windows, they need a good clean occasionally so that they can let the energy in and out. If your chakras are unhealthy and have become stuck , jammed or blown wide open then they may need a major overhaul.room would feel stuffy and heavy and sick We have hundreds of chakras all over the body including on the palms of our hands and the soles of our feet. But we mainly focus on the seven main ones. Like a rainbow of light each of the seven chakras is associated with a different color red orange green blue purple and a beautiful shining violet white. Red is the slowest vibration and is connected with the base chakra between your legs. Violet white is the highest colour vibration and is associated with the crown chakra on top of your head. Between them the colours make up a beautiful rainbow bridge connecting the earth and sky. Of the lower chakras we have: The base chakra located right under your tail bone connects you to earth and your physical body associated with the colour red. The sacral chakra located in your tummy below your belly button is about physical pleasure and creativity associated with the colour orange. The solar plexus is in charge of power and is located in your tummy above your belly button but under your heart and is associated with the colour yellow. Of the upper chakras we have: The heart chakra is about love and compassion located where your heart is and is associated with the colour green. The throat chakra expresses truth and communication located in your throat and it is associated with the colour blue. The third eye chakra located in between your eyes on your forehead is linked to intuition associated with the colour purple. The crown chakra located right at the top of your head is your connection to source and is associated with the colour violet - white. The flow of energy through our chakras goes in two different directions. Each individual chakra draws energy in and out of itself, connecting our body and the auric field with the outside world. We pick up on energy all the time, at a vibrational level. Some people are skeptical about the ideas of auras because they cannot see them, but the energy around you can alter your mood, cause physical symptoms and even warn you of danger. When you meet someone for the first time you pick up many clues about them from their aura. You might click instantaneously or you might for no obvious logical reason instinctively put up your guard. It is also your own energy field that reacts to places with a heavy creepy atmosphere and tells you that you ought to leave. There are parts of us that we don't want to feel, parts that we hide away in the shadows, the sharks cruising around below the waterline of our conscious mind, old emotional wounds, painful family history, low level physical pain. Most of us consciously or unconsciously block it all out, so that we can simply get on with our lives. But suppressing all of these shadows can take a great deal of energy , like cycling very hard with the brakes on- far more energy than just facing the issue and dealing with it. Physically we may end up with rock hard shoulders , stomach ulcers or insomnia. On an energetic level , chakras become distorted or blocked which can make us feel dull and sluggish. When our chakras are balanced they regulate the energy that comes in and out of the body so that you feel healthy and energized and not overloaded. When all the chakras are balanced they work well together like all the instruments in an orchestra, perfectly in harmony. But if any of our chakras are over or under-balanced it's like an orchestra playing with out of tune instruments, instead of harmony there is cacophony and your whole system can be under strain. When you are sitting or standing your energy body is a bit like a lighthouse. Each chakra takes up a different floor with each chakra colour on top of the one below. It is wise to check in with our chakras every once in a while to make sure everything is working in alignment and everything is balanced, leading to a more peaceful, healthy and harmonious life. • What good IS gelatin & where is it derived from???

Gelatin is one of those things that does not get its fair justice... it is derived from the collagen within the bones of animals. It is incredibly pertinent to our well being & health. So much so that it was used by our ancestors & our elders almost, if not, daily. Our grand parents understood its vital importance & benefits to our continuing health. Not only will it provide your muscles & bones with the proper nutrients they need to remain healthy, it actually Repairs torn muscle tissue! Strengthens your joints, adding that much needed cartilage back to allow freedom of movement & remove inflammation. It is great for rheumatoid arthritis as well as osteoarthritis & osteoporosis. Ends the worry of Brittle Bone Disease. It even corrects Leaky Gut syndrome! Adding the layer of gelled fluid needed in promoting good gut health, that so many lack in today's world due to their diets. It actually repairs the intestines folks! Read that again... It repairs the intestines, from the inside out. Oh and speaking of diets, did you know that you can use gelatin as a diet aid/enhancer as well!?! Simply eating a few ounces of this beautiful product daily will metabolize your fats & make you shed the pounds without ever exercising. That sounds pretty fantabulous to me lol I'll gladly eat of bowl of jello over exercising any day!!! As I'm sure most of you know, it is very beneficial to having great strong hair, nails, & skin... but it actually SLOWWS the aging process of the skin, hair , & nails down. On a cellular level it is slowing down the aging process. 🤔 to think, gelatin could actually be a sort of fountain of youth we've always searched for... no wonder my 87 yr old grandmother didn't look a day over 40. Her skin was soft and supple as a baby's butt! True story! And! It's great for your teeth too!!! That is why so many of our ancestors didn't have such awful tooth issues as we face today. (that, and they didn't have dentists slathering poisonous fluoride all over them every time they turned around, but that's another blog post for later.) Gelatin also aids the liver in removing toxins from our body. Aids in constipation, and digestion as well. And it's actually a really great source of protein!! There are 6 grams of protein per tablespoon of gelatin. WOW! It's also very beneficial for ending diarrhea, vomiting, & aids in replenishing the electrolytes & liquids needed when you have any of those issues or a fever. My mother used to mix the jello gelatin mix with cold water instead of hot to keep it in liquid form, and she'd give it to us as a drink when we were severely ill. Works great! It's fast & effective. And it's even safe for babies, diluted of course. The Glycine in gelatin is a great sleep aid too. People who have at least a few ounces of gelatin a day keep the over the counter sleep aids away! I don't know about you, but again, I'll gladly eat my bowl of flavored jello over taking over the counter drugs (or any meds for that matter) If God didn't make it, I don't want it 😉 In closing I'd like to point out that there are many ways to obtain your daily dose of gelatin. Some ppl have a texture issue with jello desserts, and that is just fine, I get it. You can use gelatin in various dishes or drinks, it comes in a powder and a liquid , unflavored. It has many name brands it goes by, one of the most commonly known of i s Surejel , used when grandma would make jellies from the fresh picked blackberries, pears, strawberries, and even jalepenos! (best jelly ever , I swear!) You can also get bone broth. Actually , all broth is a diluted measure of the original form known as gelatin. It doesn't matter if its beef, chicken, pork, deer, etc. All animals have it in their bones. The old fashioned way was to boil the meant till it fell off the bones , then save the stock for making your soup, gravy, or broth for the dish of choice you are preparing. The "fat" that floats to the top, that most ppl scoop off and discard is the pure concentrated gelatin in it's natural form. If you save that you can use it for all sorts of practical things. Or, leave it in the soup or whatever meal you have prepared and enjoy it in the meal. It is what's adding that wonderful flavor and the health benefits that come from eating homemade foods! So I conclude by saying I hope I've given gelatin it's fair & due respect & given all of the readers a reason to appreciate it on an even deeper level of understanding as our ancestors once did. Happy health & happy eating to you all!

As well, ppl with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) should use it in moderation as to not lower their sugar levels too low. This can be life threatening. Ask a doctor if you are on any medications or have a medical issue before self medicating with any herb or spice. Treat them with respect. They ARE God's medicine cabinet, so act accordingly. As well, I am not a Doctor or a scientist.
