This conditioner is loaded full of all the nutrients your hair needs to grow and look beautiful plus it’s really easy to
make.
Ingredients: Greek Yoghurt (Plain) 2 tbsp
Manuka Honey 2 tbsp
Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tsp
Rosemary Oil 1 tsp
Sweet Almond Oil 2 tbsp
Here are some of the benefits of using this recipe and why to use the ingredients listed:
. Manuka Honey from Australia is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It also contains antifungal and antibacterial properties which makes it great for the scalp as well as being a natural humectant which means honey actually helps retain moisture in the hair.
Studies have also shown that honey fights dandruff and it also helps with hair loss.
. Greek Yogurt is one of the most amazing foods to use as hair conditioner. Yoghurt can take dry, dull, frizzy lifeless hair and actually bring it back to life. Yoghurt contains Lactic acid which has intense hydrating properties it also contains Zinc which helps build cells and helps with nutrient absorption and it also regulates hormones. Yogurt also contains vitamin B5 which helps with blood circulation and hair growth and another benefit of yoghurt is it contains calcium and calcium stimulates new hair cells. So as you can see many benefits from using yoghurt in your hair care routine.
. Apple Cider Vinegar helps bring the Ph levels down in your hair and many people have dry, dull, frizzy hair and that's because the alkaline levels are too high.
. Sweet Almond Oil is a carrier oil. It works wonderfully as an emollient, you could use
coconut oil or olive oil. I just chose this one because it’s very light. The other oils tend to be too heavy and if you have a fine texture of hair it will weigh the hair down.
. Rosemary OIl is excellent as it stimulates hair development and also thickens your hair.
How to make:
Add all ingredients into a glass bowl or similar, mix together and remove all lumps.
Once mixed you should be left with a liquid lotion consistency if you find this a little too
runny for you, you can add more yoghurt for thickness.
Then pour your mixture into a bottle with a top you can easily open.
Store in a cool place and keep for 1 week.
